Members are active in all aspects of operating a retail business. We price, sort, and hang clothes to sell in Re-Threads. We work as cashiers and customer service representatives. Members participate in tailing and reconciling our daily income and taking it to the bank. The income received her pays for all the Club House utilities.
Cashier, customer, and St. Vincent Du pal clothing donations to the homeless. Price sort and hang. Clothing production. Making price tags. Back up cashier in store. Making window displays straight in store and sorting area. Tallying and banking income.
The thrift unity is big, busy, and active. We joke around while working on the sorting table. And make room for everyone who wants to help our teammates. We're good at teaching and supporting and including each other as new recruits. The legendary pink couch is a draw for people who want to relax and feel included in regular unit activities. Buffalo Exchange is a primary donation service and the quality of the clothing we receive from them is high quality. It can be really addicting to work with the clothes and easy to go overboard. Buying the stuff we like. Members and staff can put things up for as long as a month at a time.
