Employment and Education

In this unit we help members go back to work and school. From Resume writing to vocational counseling. We work with Members to develop work skills we also help with college enrollment process and financial aid and budget planning study skills. We have great employment education such as transition employment (TE). The TE program gives members and opportunity to regain their self confidence and self worth by obtaining real jobs for real pay. It also serves as a stepping stone to independent employment. We work with R.S.A. and provide on job site training.

The day starts out with a morning unit meeting. We discuss the tasks for the day we do our daily check-ins. Members and staff work together to get stuff done such as filing and job searching. We have a great support system in which members and staff talk about employment and or education. Our main goal is to get members motivated to get back into the workforce.
